Poker Records guide

Everything Poker Records does, and how the pieces fit together. Jump to a section, or read straight through.

Getting started

Create an account with your email and a password, or sign in with Google. Your account is the single home for all your records — the web app is the full experience today, and a native iOS app is in development. Everything you enter is private to you unless you deliberately share it to a group.

Recording sessions

A session is one sitting at the table. Poker Records records both cash games and tournaments, and each keeps the fields that matter to it — cash tracks stakes, buy-ins, and cash-out; tournaments track buy-in, position, and ROI.

  • Live sessions — start a session and let it run. Time on break is tracked separately and deducted, so your $/hr reflects time actually played, not time away from the table.
  • Presets — save the locations, stakes, game types, structures, and tournament types you play regularly, then pick them from a menu instead of retyping. You can also save a whole session preset to start a common game in a couple of taps. Manage your presets in Settings.

Dashboard & stats

Your dashboard turns your sessions into results you can read at a glance: total net, hours played, and $/hr, with charts for cumulative net and $/hr trends over time. A stats view digs deeper — breaking your results down by time of day and by stake so you can see which spots actually make you money.

  • Filters — narrow everything to a game type, stake, location, or date range; the whole dashboard follows the filter.
  • Multi-currency — record a session in any currency. Every total is converted to your base currency(set in Settings) using the exchange rate on the session’s date, so mixed-currency results still add up correctly.

Bankroll & risk of ruin

Set your current bankroll in Settings. Poker Records uses it — together with your results and their variance — to estimate your risk of ruin, a rough read on how exposed your bankroll is at the stakes you play. It’s an estimate from your own history, not financial advice. Changing your base currency converts your stored bankroll at today’s rate.

Groups

Groups are private spaces for sharing your action with people you trust — there is nothing public. To join a group you enter its name and request to join; the group’s owner approves each member before they can see anything. To start one, create a group and share its name with the people you want in it.

  • Sharing sessions— a session stays private until you explicitly share it to a group. Shared sessions appear in that group’s feed and feed its leaderboard; unsharing removes them again.
  • Feed & leaderboard — the feed shows what members have shared; the leaderboard ranks members over a period (ranked in a common currency so mixed currencies compare fairly).
  • Hands, comments & reactions — post a hand for discussion, and members can comment and add emoji reactions.
  • Keeping it civil — you can report a hand or comment to the developer, and you can personally mute a member to hide their posts from your own feeds.
  • Owner moderation— a group’s owner approves or declines join requests, removes members, blocks and unblocks users, and can delete posts in the group.

Tools

Poker Records includes calculators for the table: ICM and chip-chop for working out deals, and a hand equity calculator. The math runs entirely on your device and touches none of your records. The calculators are part of Pro.

Import & export

Your data is yours to take with you. Exportyour finished sessions to a CSV file at any time, free — it’s a spreadsheet of your sessions, not a full-account archive. Importbrings your history in from a spreadsheet or another tracker via CSV; because importing creates sessions, it’s part of Pro. Both live on the Data card in Settings.

Subscription & billing

The free tier includes 15 lifetime session creations— deleting a session doesn’t free a slot. Your personal dashboard and your own past sessions are never locked. Pro ($2.99/month) removes the recording limit and unlocks the group content surface — feeds, leaderboards, and hands — plus the calculators and CSV import.

  • On the web — subscribe from the Subscribe page; payment is handled by Stripe (currently for US billing addresses). Cancel any time in Settings → Manage subscription; access continues to the end of the billing period.
  • On iOS— once the iOS app launches, you’ll be able to subscribe through the App Store and manage or cancel it in your App Store subscription settings.

Your account

  • Password — accounts created with an email and password can change their password in Settings, or reset a forgotten one from the sign-in screen. Accounts that sign in with Google have no password to change.
  • Deleting your account — you can request deletion in Settings. It completes within 30 days, with an option to delete immediately, and removes your account and personal data. Any group you own must first be transferred to another member, or it is deleted with your account.
